OMG Oatmeal

I don't really care for oatmeal, at least, not the fruit flavored kind. You all know how much I don't like fruit in my desserts. Well, same goes for my oatmeal. In fact, ever since I was a kid oatmeal has just been a very questionable substance. Pale, mushy, what is it?? There's only two kinds of oatmeal I like. The chocolate chip kind of the dinosaur eggs kind.

A few months ago I said to my mom, "Remember that oatmeal that had dinosaur eggs in it? You'd cook the oatmeal and then instead of eggs you'd have dinosaurs!" I got excited thinking about it. Little did I know that my mom would then choose to surprise me by running to the store and seeing if they still made the dinosaur oatmeal.

The oatmeal was good, yes, but still a little flavorless. Recently I started mixing in peanut butter and honey to give it its "oomf."
Peanut butter, check. Honey, check. Oatmeal, check.
Can you see the eggs? Can you see them?!?!
I don't know how you all make your oatmeal, but my mom says the directions on the packets are rubbish and to follow these couple steps for better oatmeal. It says something about boiling half a cup of water, but instead of that, poor in half a cup of milk. Microwave the stuff for one minute. Stir. Microwave for another minute. It's going to seem pretty dry, so add in some more milk (eyeball it; amounts will very depending on how liquidy you want your oatmeal).
After that, take a spoonful of peanut butter and mix it in. Then drizzle on some honey. Add a tiny bit more milk if needed. Then wah lah! You've got yourself a bowl of awesome oatmeal that tastes great.
